108 Lakshmi Mantra

ॐ श्रीं महालक्ष्म्यै नमः

Om Shreem Mahalakshmyai Namah

Goddess Lakshmi is revered as the embodiment of prosperity, abundance, beauty, good fortune and auspiciousness. During Diwali, many devotees honour Lakshmi through prayer and puja, welcoming her blessings into their homes, hearts and lives.

Lakshmi is traditionally depicted seated upon a lotus — a symbol of beauty, purity and spiritual unfolding. Her presence reminds us that true abundance can be experienced not only through material prosperity, but also through gratitude, generosity, harmony, wellbeing and inner richness.

Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights signifies a shift from darkness towards light and from ignorance towards knowledge.

For many Hindu families, Diwali is a sacred time to honour Goddess Lakshmi. Homes are illuminated with diyas/lights and prayers are offered as families come together in celebration.

You don’t need any previous experience with mantra to join our meditation, just an open heart.
