He is the principal deity of purification practices in Tibetan Buddhism, especially through the 100-Syllable Vajrasattva Mantra.
Mantra Ring
Encircling Vajrasattva is a mantra associated with Vajrasattva.
The circular arrangement symbolises continuous purification, the unbroken flow of enlightened wisdom, sacred vibration surrounding the practitioner.
Laurel or Leaf Wreath
The next band forms a wreath of leaves encircling the center.
This symbolises, spiritual growth, renewal, the flourishing of wisdom, protection surrounding awakened awareness.
Four Seed Syllables
Positioned around the upper interior are four large Tibetan seed syllables.
Seed syllables (bīja) represent the essential energetic essence of enlightened qualities. Their placement in the four directions signifies balance, stability, blessings extending to all directions and protection of the sacred space
The outside of the bowl is engraved almost with large Tibetan script representing sacred speech, dharma teachings, blessings carried through sound and constant remembrance of the path.
Base
The underside features the Om (ॐ / ཨོཾ) symbol at the center, enclosed within concentric circles and surrounded by Tibetan script.
Om represents the primordial sound, unity of body, speech, and mind and the source from which all enlightened qualities arise. The surrounding circular script reinforces the idea of uninterrupted spiritual practice and protection.
Singing Bowls an be simply struck on the side or encircled around the rim to vibrate and create a beautiful rich tone. Used by buddhist monks during meditation and various therapists and healers.
