Symbolic Design
At the top of the panel is a graceful peacock, admired throughout South Asia and Buddhist traditions as a symbol of beauty, dignity, spiritual awakening, and transformation. Traditionally associated with the ability to transform poison into wisdom, the peacock represents resilience, protection, and inner growth.
The central figure is a parrot, identified by its distinctive curved beak. The parrot symbolises wisdom, eloquence, and sacred communication. In Hindu tradition it is also associated with love and devotion, serving as a companion to the god Kāma and representing the power of speech, mantra and the connection between the earthly and the divine.
Flourishing Botanical Motifs. Surrounding the animals is an elaborate network of flowering vines, leaves, and blossoms that flows seamlessly across the surface of the bowl. These abundant floral engravings symbolise fertility, prosperity, harmony with nature, and the continual flourishing of life and spiritual growth.
Traditional Craftsmanship. The deeply textured patterns give the bowl exceptional depth and character, making each piece unique.
Whether used for meditation, sound healing, or displayed as a decorative work of art, this hand-engraved brass singing bowl is a meaningful expression of skilled craftsmanship, natural beauty, and enduring symbolism.
